So fun, Stain is still one of my favorite villains right behind Dabi and Shigaraki. It's so cool animated too, but the manga is still only slightly better than the anime. Which is saying a lot!

Another great volume. Stain is a really interesting villain. I appreciate how the mangaka's style changes when they are drawing the heroes versus the villains. The villains get a lot of hard lines that make them more intimidating.

‘*Taiyaki are fish-shaped pastries filled with sweet red bean paste.’
they sound like toaster strudels
the one dude, who always has a hand over his face; does it have to do w/ his quirk and in that case, what’s his quirk?
I know we saw his quirk in the school yard battle where they tried to kill All Might for the first time, at least in manga canonization but it’s been a while hot minute since I read that volume (I say in canonization b/c that’s probably not the first time they tried to kill the day)
googled it, apparently dude’s name is Shigaraki and his quirk is that he can disintegrate whatever he touches w/ all five fingers whether the material is organic or not—spreads to rest of body if affected area isn’t amputated (okay so dude can inflict gangrene on someone)
‘It’s attacking indiscriminately!’ love the specificity there

My favourite MHA volume so far, with Horikoshi's focus shifting towards an exploration of hero society rather than sexualizing his fifteen-year-old protagonists. Iida's my favourite character, so I'm sure it helped that he got more of a role in Vol. 6, too. Unfortunate and interesting that the "villain" of this volume was more reasonable than the so-called "heroes" Horikoshi's written to this point.
