I enjoyed this story. Dashiell has been living in the human realm after being exiled from the angels and his trust in them is lower than ever. Cael is an optimist young angel sent to get Dashiell to help find one he thought dead.
I enjoyed the play between Dashiell and Cael. I understand Dashiell’s view of the angels and agreed on their corruptness in the story. I could see Cael’s hurt when he started to see that everything he had been told wasn’t quite correct. These two work well together and I liked how the romance between them was downplayed but would have liked to see them actually working on a relationship just a little bit more.
