How many stars do you give a book that made you dry heave repeatedly? I just don’t know. Booktok said it was disturbing and it was. Not scary horror but under your skin grosses you out horror.

Some grisly body horror, wears its King references on its sleeves (especially in its willingness to embrace mostly un-nuanced archetypical antagonists), and it effectively produces the dreadful feeling that we're helpless and at the whims of nature. My first Cutter and I enjoyed this as a quick horror read.

This book is the definition of horror. It wiggles into the recesses of your greatest fears, and boroughs deep.
