The recap in the beginning of the book was great, although the writing of it was not. It seemed choppy, but it was only a recap. There’s Mazrith pov, but only 3 chapters out of the whole book that are at most 3 pages. Another thing I noticed is that dialogue between characters was stiff at times, and the same word was constantly repeated (ex. accursed). There was also some missing or misspelled words that made it a bit hard to understand when reading.
It always felt like 2 steps forward, 10 steps back when it came to the FMC, Reyna. But depsite this, the ending is what upped the book from a 3 star to a 4.

I didn’t particularly like the cliffhanger, but I did love the race and how Reyna was able to control, for lack of a better word, Rasa, Mazrith’s Mother’s horse.

Wonderful ending, just wished the whole book was just as good.
