Solid quick overview of investing, specifically on helping to distinguish investing vs speculation. Some interesting tidbits:

- The median life of a hedge fund is 31 months.
- Commodities do not generate earnings, pay interest, or create business value. They are a speculative bet where there is a winner and a loser at the end of the trade. Did not know that but makes sense now.

Very short book about Investing. The authors have simplified investing as much as possible. There was a lot crammed into a few pages. Because of its size, I plan to re-read to ensure I take away as much as possible.

This was a short, simple book to get your feet wet about investment. There wasn't much that I learned from the book, but that is because I majored in finance and this knowledge is pretty much ingrained into you. This would be a good book for someone who doesn't know a thing about investing and it gets the mind thinking.

It was a good and bad thing that it was so short. On one hand it was concise and got straight to the point (I finished this in about an hour and a half), but on the other hand it's very broad and high level, and I missed some more in depth analysis.

I enjoyed reading this book, it was a good complement to [b:That Thing Rich People Do|8421700|That Thing Rich People Do|Kaye A. Thomas|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1327933910s/8421700.jpg|13284663]. They focused on different points - where TTRPD was more about what to do, this book helped me understand why.

It has now been several months since I read it though, so I can't write a thorough review anymore.

So-so basic investment overview. Too short to be very educational, but I suppose it's a good introduction if you have absolutely no prior knowledge.

Short, simple book on investing that walks you through five main questions you need to ask yourself when setting up investments (retirement or otherwise). Also walks you through the answers and gives solid advice. I wouldn't have minded a bit more detail on somethings, but this is the perfect book for someone who isn't really interested in investing, but wants to at least understand the basics of their money.

Reasonable enough. This super short book was a gift from a financial advisor.

Right up there with the Bogleheads books in terms of relaying simple, actionable financial concepts and justifications. It's short and painless!
