It's a gripping tale of a toxic relationship gone even more wrong. It could've benefited from being a bit more of a slow burn but it works great as this short novella.
Please check the trigger warnings.

- It's fine I guess? Not worth the hype I saw for it. Read it if you're interested in it but prepare to be disappointed and uncomfortable seeing the characters fit the 'women are seen as violent and sexual playthings' quota.

Spoiler
The detailed accounts of maiming, animal death, and recounted gruesome events from the news will probably stay with you long after. However, there was some missed oppotunities. I feel that the rabbit eating their babies was unneeded, as well as the priest running over the cat, because neither of them add anything to the themes of the story.Spoiler
They were unnecessary. Just for shock value. Other than that, it was okay. Idk if im gonna read it again, but we’ll seeGraphic: Car accident, Gore, Homophobia, Self harm, Suicidal thoughts, Toxic relationship, Child abuse, Emotional abuse, Injury/Injury detail, Physical abuse, Lesbophobia, Toxic friendship, Child death, Death, Pregnancy, Violence, Animal cruelty, Grief, Hate crime, Mental illness, Sexual content, Sexual violence, Animal death, and Body horror

it was very well written and i quite enjoyed following along as this harmless interaction about an apple peeler transformed into an undoubtably detrimental relationship. the characters felt real which perhaps aided in my belief of the story being nonfiction.
this novella was a delight in the most horrific way and i thoroughly enjoyed it.
