Thankfully the characters were very distinguishable. However, I didn't like the lack of quotations in each woman's story. It could be difficult to distinguish who was saying what. I believe the author got the complex relationships right.

I really liked this book. I was completely captivated the whole time while I lived inside these women's heads. There are no quotation marks, but the characters really drive the story, and each has their own voice. The characters blend together in the beginning, but then as I got to know them they really took on their own personas.

I really recommend this novel to anyone with an interest on women issues and seeing characters deal with them.
