I was so excited for this one, had heard such good things, and found the premise so intriguing. But it was just so slow and wasn’t grabbing my attention. Maybe this could be a not right now, because I do really have to be in the mood for character driven stories & I’m just not right now. But I also almost forgot I had started this, so *shrug*

Absolutely astonishing, one of his best. The book wrestles with the idea of knowledge beyond humanity's ability to access or understand and our collective need for humility. Controversial statement, but this is one of Ishiguro's best books.

Wow. Listened to it on audiobook while at a library conference. Don’t read a lot of science fiction, but I absolutely loved it. Super innovative. I was hooked, and I usually have a really hard time with fiction audiobooks.
