When I picked up this book I was expecting a Historical Fantasy novel, what I read instead was a Historical Science Fiction. While Sci-Fi isn't a genre I normally enjoy genre usually because the high Sci-Fi concepts get little hard for me to fallow. And this novel Sci-Fi aspects were little far for me to fallow and did make those aspects of the novel and it story hard to fallow. that said I really enjoyed the story and the concept and theme it explored. It was also an enjoyable adventure romp that made connections and mentions to Edgar Rice Burroughs and H. G. Wells. As a whole a really run and exiting novel that explores some deeper and interesting ideas.
