Loved the characters in this one. I dig a broken hero.

Coal/Red (H), a wounded Kadrixan hermit, wants to live alone on his mountain and is dismayed when one of the escape pods with a human woman crashed on his mountain - he wants her and the aliens who'll come searching for her off of his mountain. Vivian (h) finds herself pursued by aliens and creatures after her escape pod crashed on a planet where everything seems out to get her, except for the giant read demon looking alien who's trying to get rid of her. Until he's not. Coal and Vivian find themselves drawn to one another even as they battle to stay safe. Sweet alien romance with a nice mix of hot and steamy action - horns, tail, special peen makes things a little spicier.

What He Didn’t Know He Was Missing

This was a quick read with a devilish loner of a hero, Red/Coal, who felt unworthy of a mate. Thankfully Vivian, a stranded human, didn’t get the memo. She may be unsure about wanting to stay on an alien planet, but if she does, she wants it to be where she feels safe….which is wherever Red is. Can Coal overcome his self judgement and let Vivian see his heart, or will their time get cut short before he can? There are aliens who want Vivian for themselves, and they’ll stop at nothing to reclaim her. I’ve read everything by this author, and I am NEVER disappointed

Vivian, the female human lead, has woken up on a planet where all the males of varying species want to grab her. Coal, the male alien lead, simply wanted her off his mountain so he could go back to being a hermit. But his biology triggers his pheromones, suggesting she’s a compatible mate. Now they have to work out if a relationship is viable AND keep Vivian away from everyone else who wants her for breeding purposes…

This novella is dual POV, well written, and the interactions are cute. I appreciated the relationship development and Coal’s character development, particularly. A fun, action filled, steamy read.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
