I really liked this one, it had a slower start but the second half I read in one evening, I couldn't put it down, which is usual with this author.

enjoyed this one - quick, compelling read. I don't know that I need quite that much medical jargon to enjoy it, but for the most part it didn't distract.

I really enjoyed this, despite some cheesiness that inevitably comes with a thriller. Knowing the author is also a Dr. made the medical drama more realistic and believable to me. I found the ending a bit out there and unrealistic, but most of the book I was very entertained. I would be interested in reading another thriller by Gerritsen.

medical facts in book were bad, found it frustrating. Was good plot, not terribly difficult to solve as you're reading.

Life Support by Tess Gerritsen is a mystery for fans of The TV shows House and Grey's Anatomy. Toby Harper is an ER doctor in a quiet ER until she sees an otherwise healthy elderly man who has sudden onset confusion and tremors. He disappears on her watch causing trouble in her career. When another patient shows up with similar symptoms, she is the only person sounding the alarm that something more might be going on, but her shaky career ground makes others slow to react. The story was off to a slow start for me, but once I got into it, I enjoyed it. I felt that it was wrapped up a little too quickly though and they didn't really explain how the police figured things out instead having them magically show up at the right time and place.

A great Tess Gerritsen novel about what we're willing and capable of doing in order to try to outwit death. Fast-paced action and a unique plot.

Not horrible, but extremely predictable. The medical explanations dragged on and there was no surprise or suspense. Ok, maybe the sci-fi part wasn't quite what I was expecting, but the premise behind it is what I expected. Definitely enjoyed some of her other books more.
