I really enjoyed reading this - it was a pleasant read without coming across as too light and fluffy.

This was an absolute joy to read. I cannot express how wonderful this book is! Anh Do is an incredible human being who has lived such an interesting and inspiring life. I cried multiple times, the emotion that Anh puts on the page is palpable. His thankfulness and optimism is contagious, I finished The Happiest Refugee with a huge smile on my face. Required reading!

It's been a long time since I have read a book I could't put down. I found myself alternating between accidentally snorting out my dinner and holding back tears. A truly inspirational and heartwarming story that explores the themes of family, hardship, loss and love through a humorous lens. Do yourselves a favour and read this if you haven't already!

This is the charming autobiography of an Australian icon. An inspiring and moving tale of one man's success in the face of adversity.

I re-read this book on Kindle after already owing the physical book. It's still a great read. The Kindle version had additional stories and photos that the book didn't have.
