Dear Wild,
I have been a fan of Cheryl Strayed for a long time. I really love her story, and was surprised at how much her journey resonated with me. I was so surprised at how much I could relate with her path through the mountains. Your writing was lyrical and deep and I really loved losing along myself with Cheryl on the PCT.

Ah, jammer.

Read it at a moment where i probably needed to read a boo like this. You feel really attached to cheryll and her journey is inspiring while yet being realistic, she does not sugarcoat.

I enjoyed this book! I found the author’s journey hiking the PCT fascinating and can only imagine how she felt experiencing some of the escapades she talked about in the book. As a story, i thoroughly enjoyed it!
For the inspirational, life changing reputation this book has, I didn’t find it all THAT moving. I think what she accomplished is incredible and something not everyone can do, but I didn’t really learn anything from her and her journey (and I’m a bit confused on what she learned about herself that was so life changing) but I could never do what she did so who am I to judge.
Overall I appreciate this book for the adventure it took me on and making me feel like I was on the trail too!

I had seen the movie years ago and though that I would love to read Cheryl's adventures through her own words and I was right. The extra details provided really brought her story to life for me. The movie was pretty true to the story, but as always the book is so much better.
