This was a very tricky one to rate. Mona Awad writes incredibly well and after reading Bunny this was on my radar. But I found this one for me fell flat; it didn’t have the energy to excite me as much as Bunny did.
It was still an interesting read with lots of content warnings needed (let me post them below), and I found myself getting a bit emotional through some of the parts.

I wish Elizabeth had been able to do more with Tom’s and her relationship. I was frustrated that the porn scene was never addressed!I’m giving this a 3 out of 5 stars ✨ Thank you 🥰

Like it hurt, and i related to Lizzie and her struggled with eating, weight gain, weight loss, greif, resentment and pain was so incredibly relatable.
I liked the lack of reoslved ending and the raw and realness of tone and charceter.
My desire for Lizzie to see herself as more than her body and appearance made me reflect on my own perception.
I would recommend, especially for those who have struggled with body image issues

Reading about Lizzie's story is a bit of a wake up call to be gentler with myself and also illuminated the harsh reality of how the world views women in larger bodies.
