I really enjoyed the switched narrative of topics of racism within this book. There are scenes that felt very familiar to ones I had learnt about in history and enjoyed the romantic plot within this that didn’t feel too diluted. The ending was certainly emotional and I would re-read.

I actually read the graphic novel of this, but apart from the trick of reversing stereotypes, I didnt find much original here
