This is the first YA to intrigue me.
Plots and plots beneath plots and twists and turns make for good reading. But sometimes it makes for predictability.
The great thing is PB removed that certainty that your favorite will always survive ("Actor/actress no dey die" as we say where I come from) and that is what makes it so real. I was also able to picture outer space battles in and around the rings of the gas giants.
I can't wait for humankind to be able to rise beyond the earth and play these intergalactic war/political games. The next age of exploration.
A very good read...and while I didn't plan to read the next two books, I find myself ordering them already.

Beautiful ending to an amazing trilogy! I see that there are 4 more books after this but I think I'll stop here. This trilogy was exciting but also anxiety inducing. I'd rather sleep well with the delusion that all my fave characters (who survived) lived happily ever after.

Emotional roller coaster. I had to put it down a couple of times and start reading something less intense to regulate my emotions. All in all, the trilogy, though a bit gory, was a satisfying read.

A good end to a great series. Like all great fiction it’s just a fun house mirror of our current society. Break the chains.

Dear Pierce Brown, you are a sadistic author, and I mean that in the most complimentary sense. Just when I thought all was lost, everything flipped. And when everything is going as planned, it all goes to hell in a paragraph. You are the King, no, the Reaper of plotting. -Best Regards, Pamela

Phenomenal ending to a great trilogy. Best plot writing I’ve ever experienced. Can’t remember the last book that had me audibly laughing and so emotionally hooked… can’t wait to keep knocking out the series.

A fantastic ending to the trilogy. I was worried since I disliked book 2 so much but this one made up for it right from the start. Well worth reading the series just for books 1 & 3
