Tarah DeWitt is a new to me author this year and I have devoured every single one of her books this one included. I love how she writes her characters, they feel so real. But in this book especially, I loved how imperfect they were. I live for tension and angst so I ate this up. She is god-tier auto-buy author for me.

I adored Funny Feelings, so I was excited to read an ARC of The Co-Op.

Two kids who fell in love a decade ago meet again after loosing their grandmas. They are tossed together when they have a common goal of fixing up the duplex their grandma’s owned.

I found the story to be very charming. I loved the pacing and steadiness of the plot. The characters were solid and had great emotional arcs. The side characters were very cute.

I especially adored the epilogue.

Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for an eARC of this book. All opinions are my own.

This is an enemies to lovers, second chance, forced proximity romance with a marriage of convenience and a one bed scene where he falls first. She was trying to get Bingo on her romance writers Bingo card. I really did like this book and the main couple. The love they had for their grandmas and Sally was just so sweet.

Fun premise and audiobook listen - especially loved how the mistrust between both characters was written in an entirely believable way - they have to actively take steps to listen better to one another which I don't often see in romance. I wished it could have been *slightly* spicier a little earlier on, but still really solid!

The book wasn’t bad. It just felt mediocre, the storyline of two people who seem to dislike each other but actually don’t do because all of that just resulted because of a series of miscommunication is so overdone. I mean it still could have been good. But nothing new was done, of course construction is something you don’t usually see. I did not understand one word that was written about construction but it was fine. Meanwhile, the characters seemed kind of flat, I saw the effort of making their life and personalities deep but it just didn’t work for me.
