This wasn’t as dark as I was expecting. The h— her name is Story, ran away to boarding school to escape her stepfather and stepbrother-Killian plus his two friends- Tristian and Dimitri aka Rath. After 3 years she’s running back to the 3 guy friends to escape a murderous online stalker. The guys are in a campus club and are aka as The Lords, she interviews for and becomes their Lady which is basically a sex slave. But the big kicker is that she’s got the V card and she’s playing it. There ensues a sex game between the guys with various points assigned and the winner gets Story aka Cherry. Story knows nothing about the game so drama is just around the bend. This is pure smut and spice but it’s so well written and developed that I couldn’t put it down. I’m not into high school/ college romances dark or otherwise but I’ve gotta say these authors have changed my mind. I’ll be reading all of their stuff.

This was so addictive! I was very intrigued by the Lords, and I definitely fell for each one. They’re bullies through and through, but they had their moments… and their POV makes you love them before you go right back to hating them. It was a very well balanced game of love and hate.

Poor Story has been through so much but the claws are out. Looking forward to how things go down in the next book!

I’ll be honest, going into this, I was a little skeptical. I’ve trudged my through some pretty sick and twisted smut, but a why choose, step-sibling, reverse harem, with a Greek life AND Chicago Crime Lord turf battle twist? I was left hot and bothered, confused, and shockingly RACING to the end of this Story, pun intended. Lol truly though, this book starts off completely fucked up. Story, the FMC, and her three “knights in shining armor” have a history that you’d think is unforgivable. She’s not perfect, by any means, but still. The boys, Killian/Killer, Dimitri/Rath, and Tristian? They’re selfish, depraved assholes, who’ll maim, kill, or fuck whoever they want to get what they want, Story included. They’re the Lords of Forsyth, the cream of the crop of LDZ, an elite fraternity and hold sway in the South Side of Chicago. And their “house mom??”/maid/cook, Dolores Crane is honest to god, even more unflinching, no frills, ‘tell it to you how it is,’ badass and capable of calculated and unwavering mayhem than the boys. She’d probably knee cap just for using that term to describe her, but I lack the words to describe Ms. Crane lmfao. It took me a couple of minutes to really fall into some of the boys charm, just like Story. But also like her, how the fuck could I resist their dreamy eyes, filthy mouths, and big dicks? The possessiveness, dehumanizing banter, and outright hostility somehow becomes bearable after SEVERAL earth shattering orgasms. Once I was under their lust inducing spells, I ate this shit up. Story starts letting loose her own anger at the boys, and now we’re knee deep in the trenches of a sex filled war. I know it’s gonna get a lot worse, before any sort of silver-lining, so I’m buckled the fuck up and ready for some WRATH!!

OMFG THIS BOOK WAS INSANE!!!!!

So, I would like to start this review by saying WHAT IN THE WORLD WAS THAT ENDING?????

Ahem. Anyways, Lords Of Pain was such an amazing story that is like nothing I've read before. Story, Killian, Rath, and Tristian are all very different characters that I have a love - hate relationship with. This is a very complicated book to review because it is so different from other books. I will say that this is not for the faint of heart that is for sure. There is a lot of trigger warnings, so beware of that. There is a lot of twists and turns that I did not expect to happen, but it really added to the story. Ugh Killian really pissed me off! I get that he is an messed up alpha a**hole, but come on the crap he pulled in a certain scene in front of everyone was too far!!! He better redeem himself! I really liked Tristian and Rath though, yeah they made really stupid choices too, but I feel like they could easily redeem themselves. That ending still has me shook though. Gah, I knew Story was going to find about about the "games" but still......

Overall I'd give this one 5 stars! If you like dark twisted stories full of drama, tension, and steammm then check this book out!

I really disliked the beginning of this book, but moved forward because the writing and plot was pretty strong. Some pieces of it were far too dark/cruel for me, but it held my attention enough to get to the end - which was surprising and almost enough to make me read the second book, but it's still maybe a little too dark for me.
