This is my 3rd book by Paris, it's my least favorite so far. I found some parts to be slow and repetitive, although I understand the its reasons -- establishing suspense/patterns. 

I was surprised to read that the main character was truly shocked about who the murderer was, and that she could not figure it out from the cell phone messages.

All in all Paris is still giving us strong female characters in precarious/dangerous situations and find the strength to prevail.
