I could absolutely not put this book down. B.A. Paris is hands down one of my favorite authors. The way she weaves misdirection at every possible turn keeps you as a reader engaged as you try to work out what is happening. I did NOT see that twist coming!
My favorite part is definitely the ending because…WOW! Obviously I won’t spoil it, but it couldn’t have been more poetic. Side note, I really felt for Cass as she grappled with a possible early onset dementia diagnosis. My grandmother had that and it is heartbreaking to watch. I really feel like the first person narrative put us into her shoes and really allowed us to empathize with how it must feel to have your very reality questioned.
If you like thrillers, definitely pick this one up - you will not regret it!
