The mystery was very interesting, however the two main characters were so insufferable they ruined the entire book for me.
Also, Charlotte’s decision at the end to leave her role as a headmistress and forget about her dream and all the work she did just to marry that idiot of David is… so very frustrating, and it feels like an incredibly misogynistic choice of the author’s part.
