Read book 1 for a book club. Not my style. Will not read the sequels.

This collection contains the first three books of the Bridgerton series. It was easy to devour the first one after having watched the Netflix adaptation. Each following book became slightly less appealing to me as I went, but I still found myself getting sucked in. The third book was a slight reprieve from stories about men with daddy issues, because it was a story about a woman with daddy issues haha. Sometimes it is terribly maddening how the plot lines in these books revolve around poor communication or misunderstandings. However, still a pretty easy read. Would make great beachy romance reads.

The writing was extremely repetitive and I hated reading "mewling" over and over. Also how many times does the author need to tell us that all of their hair is "chestnut" color and the men are all tall??

⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5. Jane Austin, she is not. However, it is perfect for what it is. It is exactly what you want in a book to help keep your mind off of the world. It is comforting and leaves you feeling good. This is actually the first three books in one. Easy, quick read. Highly recommend if you like a period piece romance.
