Many things I liked about this book and many things I didn't. I needed the characters more fleshed out and the storyline to have more depth. Everything happened at warp speed which is one of my pet peeves. I like to peel back the story as if it was an onion. Unfortunately, this one fell short for me in that regard.
I appreciate the author and her dedication though.

Devious by Angela Snyder is a dark mafia romance that follows the story of Victoria and Damon. Victoria is the daughter of a powerful mafia boss, while Damon is a man who is out for revenge against her father.
The two meet when they are children, but they are separated when Damon's family is killed by Victoria's father. Years later, Damon returns to seek revenge, and he uses Victoria to get to her father.
The book is well-written and the characters are well-developed. Victoria is a strong and independent woman, while Damon is a complex and dangerous man. The relationship between the two is passionate and volatile.
However, the book does have some flaws. The plot is somewhat predictable, and the ending is a bit anticlimactic.

If you like your reads dark, dangerous and suspenseful.... this is the book for you! I was spellbound by the storyline and captivated by the characters which had me in a state of refusal.... refusal to put this book down until the very end! Now impatiently waiting for book 2!

Woah! From the beginning this story grabbed me by the throat! I need more. This story did end in a cliffhanger... and I am struggling to maintain composure. Victoria is the sweet and innocent daughter of a mafia boss and gets caught in the middle of a fight that she had no clue even existed. She knew her father had enemies, she just didn't know that she had gotten involved with one of them.... or why they were enemies! Caught in the middle and confused she does the only thing she can think of and that is to keep the peace and attempt to save everyone involved. And then ........ THE CLIFFHANGER! I have to know what happens next! Totally worth all 5 stars. I cannot wait to see get to the rest.

This is book 1 in the Deviant series and it features Damon and Victoria. Let’s just start out with the INSANE cliffhanger! The build up and execution was excellent. The romance was sizzling. So much of what happened was expected but unexpected at same time. I really didn’t give Damon enough credit. He is tough and determined.
I can’t wait for book two! I NEED to know what happens.
