I was fortunate enough to experience this book as an audiobook, and the voice acting was supreme. It really gave each and every character a distinct personality and layers. The book is simply amazing, I felt part of the story. The narration is so vivid, it moved me in so many different ways. Don't get me wrong, most of the characters are assholes, in their own specific selfish brand of assholeness, but, they are so realistic, lovable and vulnerable because of that. I cannot wait to read more books from this author.

Daisy Jones is a book that I feel lived up to the hype. It’s a really fun, quick read that still gives you a lot to think about. I really liked the interview style it’s written in, which I thought was pretty unique. I liked that we got to see each character’s story and their thoughts. The characters were complicated and I loved them and I hated them at different points. The roles of the female characters in the book were so important to me. I would recommend this to anyone drawn to the glamour and drama of a 70’s rock band or someone who’s looking to get out of a reading slump.

I listened to this on audiobook while reading along and it definitely raised my ranking, since the audio has a full cast with different narrators for each character's dialogue. I liked the novelty of the story being told through an interview format, but ultimately I do think this story would work better for a screen adaptation because you'd get to see the drama play out and see them actually perform the rock songs that are described so well. I will have to watch the tv series for this that just came out and see! But it was a fun drama-filled read all around.

I enjoyed this book very much. The audiobook format really sold it for me. The plot was entertaining, and the dialogue was engaging. It felt like watching the documentary of a famous band after they’ve broken up. I’m motivated to watch the Amazon prime series after finishing.

incredible character building and arc. dynamic, deep and strong women who are all distinct in their different lifestyles and identities. in depth view of addiction and the constant challenges it poses as one becomes sober. <spoilers> not quite on board with the infidelity/adultery. <spoilers> thoroughly enjoyed the other parts of this novel

This book REALLY surprised me since the plot didn’t really sound like something I’d love. I was pretty sure going into it that this book that it just wasn’t going to be for me be I was quickly captivated by literally every character. They all had such strong clear voices and identities even through the interview style of writing. This book was devastating in a way I wasn’t expecting. I went in this book thinking it was a cute romance but I got a raw book about every emotion out there. I used to study addictions counseling so this book felt really personal and I felt my heart break many times. By the end of it I was in tears and I can’t remember the last time a book made me cry. Just so beautiful. There’s nothing I didn’t like about this book and not one thing I would change. I was halfway through the book before I realized it’s a fake band (I didn’t read the back I just trusted the hype lmao)
