Wow this is such a gripping, twisted and suspenseful novel you are never sure who you trust. The way these characters interact with one another and how they may have differences and issues with one another when either of them are vulnerable they will defend each other against anyone…. Even if it’s to protect one of them from the label of “murderer” or is it that simple? I won’t say much more than that as it would spoil certain things about this book all I will say is go out and buy this.

The action starts straightaway in ‘That Night’ at the scene of an accident where Frannie has run over and killed a man in the middle of the night, and she calls her sister Cathy and brother Joe to help her cover up her crime. This is the start of a nightmare for the family as they all become increasingly paranoid as the guilt and fear affects every part of their lives. The tension was palpable throughout this perfectly paced thriller, I thought the plot was really clever, the twists were brilliant and I loved the ending it was so touching!
I’ll definitely be reading more from Gillian McAllister, I thought her writing was fantastic, it hooked me in immediately and I couldn’t wait to find out how everything would turn out for the siblings. This one comes highly recommend from me, I loved it!

Loved this book, but the characters made me angry at every twist and turn, I could support none of them and I really felt involved in their decisions.
A very good read.
