This is the second installment in The Witcher series and, like the first, is made up of short stories following Geralt as he journeys through the land. The timeline of Sword of Destiny is linear which made it much easier to follow and it felt more like a novel than the first volume did. I liked seeing a bit more of Dandelion, Yennefer, and Ciri who all were lovable in their own ways. I expected mostly trite adventure stories but some surprisingly emotional moments snuck up on me and I finished the book feeling as if I had been journeying right along with these characters. Masterful work on the part of the author. I can't wait to start on the first Witcher novel and follow along with Geralt and the rest as they traverse the paths of destiny...

"The sword of destiny has two edges. You are one of them."

"You're something more, Ciri. Something more."

Spoiler
Me gustó mucho más que "El último deseo".
El final me deja con ganas de leer más, aunque ya se que sucede con Ciri

My sister and I were discussing how the books do a better job of showing Dandelion and Geralt as real friends than the tv show does, and that was probably my favorite part of this book. Unfortunately, I don't like the random way that Sapkowski reveals worldbuilding and plot information, and how everything seems random and scattered. If I didn't like the show so much I probably wouldn't keep reading.
