Royal Black is living life on the edge and has an attitude that Olivia, his mom, feels like she can no longer control so she send him to live with his dad, Mark, who has not been present in their lives since leaving them for another woman, Viviane. Royal has no plans on playing nice with Mark's new family and is about to dish out more than they can handle.

Noelle Weston is Viviane's daughter and is a "good girl" who still can't seem to live life the way her mother wants her to. Right away she is attracted to Royal but knows he's a prick and very dangerous. Yet Royal seems to be pushing all of her buttons and won't let anyone get close to her. How far is he willing to go for Noelle?

This book was awesome!! There were so many hidden secrets to it and things would happen that I really didn't expect. I was hooked from the beginning when Olivia asked Royal to leave and I knew I was in for a wild ride.

I absolutely loved the innocence of Noelle being the good girl yet being so unhappy inside but still continuing to conform to what others wanted. Having someone supporting her made all the difference and I was disappointed that Mark never did more for her before.

Royal was awesome in that he tried to pretend he never had much of a heart when the truth was he did, though it was underneath the hurt he felt from his past. Once he was able to understand the past he was able to move forward with the future. He was willing to do almost anything for Noelle except in regards to his dislike for Viviane.

There were definitely some parts involving Sasha Masters and Viviane that made me mad as it goes back to the notion of people being judged differently due to the size of their wallets.

The ending was great and I was glad to see how everything turned out and I really hope we can visit these characters again!
