Thoughts:
• this is all but tailor made for me, the combination of relationship/characters & plot is the perfect storm of everything I love & I understand that’s not for everyone, but it was definitely for me
• it was dark & twisty & absolutely horrid but also had me giggling & blushing at points
• I’ve never read something quite as graphic, so be warned of that & that the story itself is really heavy
• I felt the relationship took more of a front seat than I had initially expected but it became one of the things that had me turning the page & staying really invested in the story
• I can’t give this story enough praise, the writing is gorgeous, too
• this series is devised of five separate books all connected in the same story, I love how the author had chopped it up into bite sized novels
• there’s not words to describe how bad-a just reading about Lana makes me feel
• the chapters are short, the thoughts are clear, good writing all around, all things that made me want to keep picking up the books & keep reading
• you should absolutely be reading this book (check trigger warnings) if you like the Aubrey Plaza character arc in Criminal Minds, the show You, hurt/comfort tropes
