I didn't think the series could get better that Jax, book one of Cocky Cage Fighter. I was so wrong. Jude may be the baby brother, but the book is not just an equal but better. I usually don't read books with high school characters, it is like spying on the grandkids. Jude was worth breaking the rule. At 22, he is still so young in experience. He is so clueless in relationships. He only knows how to eat, train, sleep and repeat. That is until he is conned into taking Sadie, coach's daughter, to the prom. The dork, becomes a queen and Jude is lost in her. This is the story of Jude's conflict--does he tell her about the deal with the coach? Does he think she won't find out?? Does he wait for the right time, that never may come???? Does he break it off before it is too late? In the end what mattered is how Sadie found out and what occurred afterwards. I can't believe I cried during an MMA fighter book. Alpha male--yes, awesome bodies--yes. Romance--yes When all are put together they have the making of a good story. It was Jude's devastation that ripped at my heart. It was Jude's inter-turmoil that kept me reading when chores needed to be done. In the pages of a good book I watched Jude mature and become a good man. I watched love actually save the day. Sometimes the greatest reward isn't a championship belt, but the girl's forgiveness.

After Jax, I wasn't sure I could love Jude the same. He was the funny younger brother, and I loved his banter. Boy, was I wrong! I fell for Jude easy. This book blew me away. I am just sad that I devoured it so quickly, and it was over before I wanted it to be lol Another job well done Lane Hart! I can't wait to fall for Linc!

Jude

While I loved this book i didn't kinda find the immaturity a little annoying at points. When Sadie lies to Jude then expects him to run back to her it just showed how young she was. Overall though I loved their chemistry and how the story ended.

I didn’t enjoy this story as much as the previous one. While I like Jude and Sadie as characters I found the story to be a bit lacking when it came to it. Not sure what I was expecting but this wasn’t it. Hopefully Linc has a bit more too it, like Jax did

I loved Jude when reading his brother Jax's story he was funny and sweet and extremely likable and I was looking forward to his own story and I did enjoy it but I did find it a little unbelievable at times, and there were parts I struggled with and felt the story dragged a little at times. As for Sadie I liked her but found it hard to believe that after one afternoon in a hair salon Sadie goes from a dorky 18 year old too a drop dead gorgeous girl, who is literally fighting guys off. That being said the story did have a few enjoyable and hot moments, plus a lot of hot MMA Fighters and I would recommend it to others.

OOO Jude, you stole my heart! I thought Jax was my fighter but you quickly took that over. We got a glimpse of Jude from Jax's book and how they interacted and it was a fun banter between the two. Jude was a very innocent young man that fell for the one girl he never expected to, and just happened to be as a bribe that this happens. I'm rather fond of the name Sadie so of course I loved her character. She did show her age on a few occasions but at times seemed very mature for her age. She did carry herself with the confidence I wish I had. Definitely a book that has the physical nature and swoon worthy with it. *ARC received via author in exchange for an honest review.

Overall a decent book. Only problem I had with it is how juvenile Sadie could be, but with the fact being she's 18 I let it go lol. A lot of game playing goes on in this book but I suppose it did keep it interesting. I did enjoy this novel and I can't way for the next one.

A BIG D N F FOR THIS BOOK! And, if you can believe this, at 91%.

This book, or should I say the stupid ass heroine, pissed me off big time! She was a down right bitch and did not deserve the H.

I definitely could've loved this book if the h had acted in a different manner, but I have to say she takes the cake for my most hated h's.

The first time she did what she did during their break up, I was willing to forgive her although it also pissed me off.but when she finds out about what her dad and the H did, the way she acted was ridiculous. I can understand she was mad but to go and do what she did with Jude's opponent?!?!? That's just being a straight up bitch. Why would she go to Linc's hotel room, a man she doesn't know from adam, and tell Jude she slept with him? And then she doesn't even let Jude explain and LEAVES THE STATE to go live with Linc, a man SHES LITERALLY KNOWN FOR A DAY! And the best part is, even though Linc has a huge house with multiple bedroom, she sleeps in the same bed with him!! But it totally ok because there isn't anything sexual about it....not! Did Sadie think it meant nothing that Jude gave his virginity to her after waiting for 22 years? Did she really think he would've done that just because her dad asked him to take her to prom? The icing on the cake that made me really dnf was the fact that even after Jude shows up and is staying at Linc's house, she was still going to sleep in Linc's bed! Like, why?? We also come to find out that Sadie and Linc kissed, BUT IT OK BECAUSE IT WAS LIKE KISSING A SIBLING!!!! I'm sorry, I don't like to slut shame, but Sadie was a slut. I hate hate hated her.

I just do not understand. I have never dnf'd a book this far in but I guess that will tell you how much I hated that heroine.

I know this is really long so, rant over. I'm getting mad just thinking about it all over again lol

I have to say, after really enjoying the first book in this series, I was very eager to read this story. Thankfully, it didn't disappoint!

This romance was rather sweet, overall, thought I did find the characters a bit young to be talking this seriously about "forever". That youth hampers the story to a slight degree, as they fly off the handle about perceived slights. I loved Jude, though, as he was a perfect Alpha hero. Sadie, though, I had a couple of issues with, but I chalked it up to her youth and setting up the next book in the series.

I have to say, I would definitely continue on with this series!
