Cute Romance, enjoyable quick listen.
Wish the male narrator had a better irish accent. Cringed at how he said "Smithwicks"

Always Be My Banshee
4 Stars

In the aftermath of discovering the ancient artifact in the rift, touch psychic Cordelia Canton joins forces with Brendan O'Connor, a rare male banshee, to uncover the secrets of the artifact and the reasons for its dangerous effects on the local population.

Cordelia and Brendan's romance is really sweet. As a touch psychic and a banshee who can see deaths of others, Cordelia and Brendan's abilities have resulted in a solitary and lonely existence for them both. This makes the fact that they have found each other even more delightful.

The town of Mystic Bayou and its quirky residents are the true highlights of this series. The couples from the previous books all join in the fun as the mystery surrounding the rift and the artifact is resolved. As with the previous books, there is a malevolent force working for the mysterious group within the league, and the identity of the culprit is actually quite a surprise.

Although the ongoing arc comes to a close, there is a new twist at the end and it will be interesting to see where Harper takes her characters next.

This series does not disappoint! The author knows how keep the characters going on each book and link them together.

I always love the female/ male perspectives!

Zeds and Cordelia’s relationship was weird to me. I know Zed is a huge Teddy Bear but I felt like the author didn’t have to show that in this book. That’s my opinion.

Jillian will always be one of my favorite characters!

The ending surprised me when I found out shifter pretending to be Brendan! That part did surprise me and it was delightful to know it wasn’t Brendan when he was being pushy towards Cordelia.

The series tickles me in many ways! It’s always the right amount of funny, creepy, suspenseful, sex, etc! Love these books!

As with the other books in this series, this was an easy, semi-predictable, fluffy read. The love was sort of instant, the relationship drama was non-existent, and the plot-line danger drama was “huge,” while actually being pretty minimal. Had it’s charming, funny moments. The humour throughout the series is pretty much the exact same. A bit over-the-top situational and quirky humour.
Didn’t hate it, would re-read in the future when in search for another snicker-worthy, low drama read.
