Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World's Most Dangerous Man by Mary L. Trump

The author’s expertise in clinical psychology, as well as her experience of being a Trump, gives us a well told explanation with plentry of stories about our current President, his parents and siblings. None of it is surprising, yet it is somehow still shocking. The family, as a whole, is cruel, crass, crude and completely crooked. One can see how and why the man who is President is such a disaster for this country.

I struggle with where to rate this one so I'm going with 3. This book certainly didn't change my opinion of DT at all. I guess it helped to see why he is the way he is with the trash he had raising him. Part of me is a little bit empathetic to that and the other part says that's really no excuse once you're an adult you make your own decisions and can rise above. There are many ppl in this world that had the same type of childhood or even worse and they're not at all like DT. So yeah ._. glad I'm done with that one.

Wowowowow this book had SO much to say. So many explanations as to how trump is the nastiest man alive. Power to Mary Trump for her story.

This is a fascinating read, it won't transform your perspective of the man if you've followed a variety of news sources over the past few years, but it is interest to know where a lot of his worst traits and attitudes came from.
There is a lot here I felt I already knew, particularly about Trump's desire to sell himself as a self made man despite literal mountains of evidence to the contrary, but there are several other forgotten stories that it's worthwhile to understand.
A significant read, especially in the current climate.

Not as much about Donald as insight into that family and her disappointment in the way her parents were treated.
