enjoyable

Decent plot, not dark or overly suspenseful but enough drama to keep me reading. The main characters relationships were devoted/protective (no bully, etc), overall a good read.

Dnf. I literally got 5 pages into this before I stopped. I’ve said it before in my reviews for the first two books and I’ll say it again: it isn’t a true reverse harem of the love that the main character feels isn’t equal for all her lovers. I just don’t get why Marcus has to be the one that’s the main focus, when it’s clearly been shown that the others love her just as much

Of the three books in this series, this one is my favorite. Now that we’ve become familiar with Ayla, Theo, Marcus, and Ryland, the bond, and the story, this is the perfect conclusion. There is so much going on. It’s a whirlwind of emotions. The four of them are fighting to keep each other alive, struggling to show their love in the ways they need to. There’s never a power struggle. There’s no issue with dominance. Just the perfect balance within their bonds. Theo continues to show love through sweetness. Ryland is as protective as ever. And Marcus, is of course ever bit of possessive as he’s always been. There is so much that could cause their love to falter, but it only makes it stronger. Ayla stops at nothing to protect her men. I swear he body is addicted to bullets! I was never waiting for the next big thing to come around the corner. I was waiting for the next big thing between Ayla and Marcus, between Ayla and Theo, between Ayla and Ryland. The next big moment for them together (and not even in a sexual way).

My Favorite Quotes:
•”I can never get enough of you. I keep trying, but it’s never enough.”
•”I love making you come, angel. I love your sounds. I love your taste. I love you.”
•”Don’t close your eyes. Look at me, Ayla. Only at me.”
•”I’m not done, angel. We’re not done.”
•”I don’t want it to be just me and you tonight, angel. I want it to be all of us.”
•”I love you, Rose.”
“Love the hell out of you.”
“Love you, angel.”

10/10 Dirty Birdy
6/10 Mafia
10/10 Reverse Harem
8/10 Series

“It’s not healthy,” Marcus grits out. “It’s not right. But I’m not taking it back. I love you with my whole goddamn soul, and if I ever lost you, I’d raze the fucking world to the ground. I’d ruin it, just for existing when you didn’t.”

This trilogy devasted and enamoured me in more than one way. GOD CALLIE FUCKING ROSE I LOVE YOU, thank you for writing this books. I really enjoy everything. The storyline, the main characters, the side characters, action, spicy, love and partnerships a lot. Ryland, Marcus and Theo became one of my fave trio of reverse harem and books boyfriends, and Ayla Fairchild now it's in my top five of favorite main characters. She's a total badass female and a incredible human being.

I will miss this books with all my heart but remember them with so much joy.

"We’re together. That’s how we’ll face this threat. And that’s how we’ll win."

With the last book in the series, a lot of what happened in the two previous books makes sense. I never really understood the point behind the game and the last book really cleared up what was happening. We get to see how each character has grown and overcome the people literally out for their lives.
