*Second read 7/9/2022*

I'm still finding myself confused and unable to distinguish between some of the characters, but enjoyed this a lot more the second time around. The author took some really brutal risks with characters in this one.

*First read 18/8/2019*

We got a LOT of answers in this volume, but the storytelling and twists were very heavy handed at times. Everything felt rushed and like we were suddenly bashed over the head with a phonebook full of truth.

I’m also....confused about the characters. I needed more time to get to know them, and get a feel for life aboard the Mudwhale, before the events that transpired at the intersections of volumes 1 and 2. I don’t know anybody well enough to know if they’re acting strange and out of character, or if they’re just weird?????

Eh, gonna give the next couple of volumes a go regardless. The stakes are ramping up!

Las ilustraciones son bellísimas y algunas de las escenas son desgarradoras. Me encanta Oni.

I've loved the art style in this series , it absolutely stunning. The storyline has peaked my interested, espically as more secret about the mud whale are discovered.

This second volume had a lot more heart in it, even more happening than the last. Really liked where this went, and appreciated the care in the character building. I will definitely be continuing with the series.
