ARC received for an honest review

I have enjoyed all the books in the Indianapolis Eagles series, and after Reese and Austin met in the previous book, I have been looking forward to seeing where their story takes them.

This is book 5 in the Indianapolis Eagles series, and whilst they could be read as standalones, you will be missing some of the nuances and complexities of the relationships of the relationships - besides, who wouldn't want to read more hockey hotties?

What I like about this - and the previous books in this series - is that there is no unnecessary, OTT drama. No puck bunnies swooping in to cause trouble. No stupid miscommnications tearing our lovelies apart just for the sake of tearing them apart. Sure, the couples have their problems, however they are all dealt with like the adults they are.

Against The Boards has our lovelies separated by distance for a lot of the story, however you can feel the pull of attraction between then, even across oceans. There is so much that could go wrong whilst they are apart, but they don't let it.

There are some darker issues dealt with in this story, and it was great seeing them go through them together.

This book just left me with a big smile on my face, and left me wanting more. I loved getting more of the Eagles from the previous books and where their lives are at (though the stories do overlap a bit)

I hope we get more of this series in the future.
