A gripping novel on the horrors of the holocaust. In this story, we follow Yanek Gruener through countless concentration camps and watch in terror as he slowly dies and comes back to life again. Definitely read this remarkable book!

It was a very good book. You could feel the emotion in Yanek and imagine what it would be like for him during WW2. I liked how the pace of the book felt, it was a good speed to remember what happened while taking in the new information. This is definitely a top 5 book for me.

Inspiring and powerful. Incredibly written - so much truth with a splash of fiction. The journey of a young boy surviving through 10 camps during the Holocaust that felt so real and raw. Give young adults books like this over textbooks any day to not just learn but emotionally connect to the history!
