YLiA is above rating. Rating can't justify YLiA, and my feelings.

This was definitely different to the other volumes, I feel like a majority of this focused on Tsubaki, although the amount of comparisons between Kaori and Kosei's mother is starting to scare me, with all the foreshadowing.

This volume begins with Kousei's good-bye tribute to his mother. It's beautifully told and rendered. Then the volume begins Tsubaki's story in earnest. Readers will have already known volumes ago where her heart was leading her, but this is the volume where Tsubaki discovers it for herself. There are some very powerful moments depicted beautifully by Arakawa. Solid volume all around, but not as highly dramatic or moving as other volumes. My recommendation is to read the chapters dedicated to Kousei's farewell to his mother, then put the book down and treat them as the end of the volume. Take a beat or two before continuing on.

In this volume, Tsubaki begins to realize the extent of her feelings for her childhood friend, Kousei. Those two are so cute and sweet, and I love their easy-going friendship!
