3.25 stars. my first official foray into hockey romance and that honestly wasn't too bad. pretty great spice and very tropey, which works for me because i am absolutely a trope lover as long as it doesnt affect the quality of writing, and even though this was nowhere near a masterpiece, i'll look back on it fondly and i understand all the hype that i used to see about it. maybe i will tune in to that tv show at some point.

I really loved this book and this couple! This is my first time reading Elle Kennedy’s work and it certainly won’t be my last. The banter was so fun and sexy. I’m excited to read the rest of the series and learn more about the background characters of the book.

really enjoyed this book. garrett is perfect (audiobook actor garrett sounds perfect too). hannah is complex but relatable. no complaints. spicy scenes weren’t very graphic and there wasn’t a lot of them. what is there is lovely though 2.5/5. 

lots of talk about rape so be prepared for that.

The spice is something else, the push and pull for the both of them is so good.

Garrett in the first pages are such a normal hockey player type in books that kinda plays a lot but focuses on his sports. The way question himself around our girl is so funny 😭 like he's hot for her but can't do shit 😭
