Reached the epilogue and I didn't even notice it.
Finished the book in a day and I can only say that I'm in love with Garrett Graham.
I don't really have much to say about the plot since I don't think there was much to it but I kind of liked how the author just put the info in there without beating around the bush. I loved Hannah and Garrett's dynamic though I feel a bit sorry we didn't get much of the side characters and Garrett's passion for hockey and Hannah's one for music. Even though the boys are going to get their books, I hoped to see more of them during the reading. It didn't feel like they randomly jumped in there and when they appeared they fitted just right without feeling forced.
Either way, four stars! It's not really my type of book but I really enjoyed it.
(btw the content warnings have nothing have nothing to do with the main characters relationship it's about their relationship with other people so don't worry about reading it.)

I'm just gonna copy past my notes in here:
Bookmarks:14; notes/highlights:225; fav chaps:8,19,29,43; fav character:Garrett; fav side character:Dean/Allie; peak song:Take on the world/Sex(playlist: https://spotify.link/nN0Pfq46hHb); fav plotwist://; fav quotes/scenes(❗🚨HONESTLY, I DON'T THINK THEY COUNT AS SPOILER BUT IF YOU REALLY MIND JUST STOP HERE🚨❗):“And forget the choir. You don’t need it. Hell, I don’t think you need Cass.” He shakes his head in amazement. “Your voice is…fuck, Wellsy, it’s beautiful.”/“You won’t let anything bad happen to me, will you, Garrett?”“Never.”/“Hey, come on, don’t cry,” he begs. “It breaks my fucking heart to hear you cry.”/“I’m broken.”My voice is muffled against his neck, but I hear his voice loud and clear as he says, “You’re not broken, baby. I promise.”/But right now, all I want is for this girl to smile at me again./I kiss her hard, losing myself in her taste and her heat and every damn thing about her. I never expected her. Sometimes people sneak up on you and suddenly you don’t know how you ever lived without them. How you went about your day and hung out with your friends and fucked other people without having this one important person in your life./I can’t remember a time when I didn’t want this girl. When I wasn’t fucking desperate for her./“Baby, I could watch you watching paint dry, and I still wouldn’t be bored.”/Garrett Graham, my own personal sweet-talker./.I want to kiss her all night, for the rest of my fucking life, but I haven’t forgotten where we are at the moment./“You’re lucky I love you,” I warn her. “Because I wouldn’t stand for it otherwise.”Hannah grins. “You’re lucky I love you. Because you’re a total asshole and there aren’t a lot of girls who’d put up with it.”She’s probably right about the asshole thing. She’s definitely right about the lucky part.

uhmmm wtf did i just read???? cant believe i wasted 4 hours of my life on this and 200 megabytes of storage on my already cramped phone. i only read this book cause i had no idea what to read and wanted a break from classic literature. went on booktube to look for good young adult books and this was highly recommended by steph bohrer (who i rlly love) & hayley pahm. so i decided even though it’s no classic it must be good enough for these people to like it so much. boy was i wrong. firstly, WHERE WERE THE TRIGGER WARNINGS??? the amount of times r*pe was mentioned just made me so upset and kind of distressed, especially because the topic wasnt really handled well. wouldnt have read had i known it was mentioned since i’m trying to look for a happy book. It wasnt a main plot line but i still think w the amount of times it was mentioned there shouldve at least been a mild trigger waring. for both r*pe and other sensitive topics this book mentioned. not like it was anything horrible but it just seemed like it was written without any sensitivity to actual victims idk maybe that was just how i personally interpreted it. the book itself wasnt that bad and thankfully there’s only smut in how many scenes. though there was nothing special abt this book either. tbh i enjoyed some of the wholesome moments and the university/campus vibe and all. but i rlly cant let go of the way the author handled a lot sensitive topics such as abuse, alcoholism, feminism, and r*pe. it really made me very uncomfortable. or maybe this was just rlly not for me idk. cute romance but you can find something like this on wattpad. i’ve read better shit on AO3 when i was like 13 i swear. dont waste your time on this yall

This was everything I needed in a romance novel and it has the fake dating trope, which is my fave!
