GUYS, this chapbook is beyond cool and exactly as tasty as its cover suggests. Full disclosure, I have never played Final Fantasy and couldn't tell you the first thing about it. BUT. You don't have to be into gamer culture even a little bit to appreciate this linguistically messy, poetic commentary on its toxic masculinity and its visual/verbal violence against women. The writing here is doing and saying and illustrating so much, and I'll be revisiting this chap to think more on its themes.

I read a few of these poems on Delirious Hem back in the day and kind of freaked out I loved them so much. Now they are a whole chapbook and fucking loved it. It's rare that I hear a "voice" in my head while reading, but I definitely heard a weird lady/ogre voice throughout the whole book. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Wich I knew more about Final Fantasy, tho.
