The Noah's Ark Quest by Boyd Morrison

It's Inferno meets Indiana Jones meets Jack Reacher.

It's one adventure after another and just when you catch your breath, Locke, Dilara, and Grant find themselves in another do-or-die situation. It's filled with adventure, some humor, and is certainly a page turning roller coaster ride.

Characters are well-defined, the plot gives us a worthy villain and the perfect heroes to save the world.

Looking forward to reading more in the series.

If I was asked to describe this book in just one word, I think it's safe to say that that word would be 'frantic'.

The latest book I've read in what seems to be a fast-growing genre (thrillers using elements of the Bible as their starting point - think 'The Da Vinci Code'), this one really deals with the search for Noah's Ark while a power-crazed madman plots to start Armageddon. The novel moves along at a fair clip, rushing from once action scene to another with barely a pause for breath. Perhaps, however, that pace is too fast, as it leaves little in the way for plot to develop before rushing on to the next big scene.

As seems to be De-Rigor for this type of novel, the central protoganists also has access to all sorts of toys and gadgetry, as well as contacts high up in government: it's never just Joe Bloggs from down the street that these stories focus on! *laughs*

1) Rating: 3 out of 5 stars (probably closer to 3.5)

2) Genre: Thriller

3) Synopsis: Noah's Ark has been lost to the world but has it been found again? Is it possible that the Ark will be needed again to save people from the end of the world?

4) Feelings: I am a sucker for a good thriller. I liked this book and the idea behind it. Bringing in a biblical artifact always adds some familiarity to the story. This book had plenty of action and puts its main characters in extreme danger.

5) Final recommendation: If you are a thriller fan this book is a fun read. Just what you expect from a good thriller. Can't say I really liked the main character but I did want him to win in the end. I am planning on getting the next book in the series. You should give it a try too.

I liked it. It was predictable, but still interesting. I also like Dan Brown so there you have it.

Un thriller pseudohistórico que tiene de todo para todos.

I just couldn't get further into this book. Seemed a bit slow moving. Had several significant events, but it took nearly 100 pages to explain these events. Lot of gunfights, explosions, and shooting. This always comes with unrealistic action and predictability. Just didn't seem to move along as quickly. Perhaps its just me. Lack of patience. I don't know. Moving on.

Decent summer popcorn book. And then I realized I was reading Clive Cussler. Two male action heroes with witty banter? Check. Beautiful woman tied to current mystery for predominant male hero to fall in love with? Check. Lots of vehicles? Check. Wacky vehicle chase scene? Check. Alternate take on historical artifact? Check. End of the world scenario that our heroes must stop with seconds to spare? Check. So yeah, it's really Clive Cussler in disguise, but it's still fun. Knock off a star or two if the similarities bother you.
