This is probably a review / critique of both volumes: it felt to me like this could have been so much better. It was affecting, and you felt sorry for the robots, but for them to have such pathetic human failings felt both unlikely given their supposed superior intellect, and also quite unsatisfying.

When I saw the solicits for this, I thought it'd be silly. Vision, building himself a family? Living a normal life? And, the basic idea kind of is. But I picked up the first issue on a whim, and... oh man... the execution of it was breathtaking. With a combination of writing and art that really highlights what makes comic so special as an art form. The book is by turns funny, heartbreaking and creepy. If Marvel had a line that was akin to DC's Vertigo, this book would be in it. It's a treasure, and well worth a read.

Wow. The first six issues are certainly something else. It's definitely a slow burn of a storyline and you don't get to see much of those superhero sequences but it's still great nonetheless. I have to say that issue #4 was my favorite one in the volume. I certainly cannot wait to read the next few issues.

This is a rather dark/haunting/stepfordy take on Vision. Definitely worth the read.

At first I found the wry wit endearing. I like the complicated, technical language the Vision family used in their rationale. But then the tone subtly changed to something darker and I was entranced every step of the way. Beautifully written!

Originally, I had Omega Men above Vision in my Tom King ranking. I’m thinking I was wrong.

Vision does something that I think Mister Miracle achieves something really well, something I guess I didn’t really key in to when I first read it. It’s atmosphere. Both have such a hopeless and melancholy vibe to them that is unmatched in big 2 comics.

This also serves as King’s wordiest book. I think his narration throughout is great, but it doesn’t feel like King to me. He’s always been one to let the visuals speak before his words, but that’s such a minor thing I wouldn’t even count it as a flaw.

Oh and Gabe Walta is awesome, he really does such a great job in everything I’ve read by him.

Esta história foi um carrocel de emoções que tenta decifrar o que realmente nos faz humanos.
Com animação que por vezes nos choca esta é uma história que mal posso esperar terminar
