It was going so well, the single mum trope I was loving it in my feels, then the third act break up happened and usually I’m all for the third act pain. I love the grovelling that comes after it but when this man literally does ZERO and I mean ZERO grovelling it made my eye twitch. I adored Kate and Cal but Dean he can go in the bin now.

Ps I love Morgan Elizabeth and her writing was not the issue. I just really really disliked the ending of this one.

Also smut was great

Kate and dean. Kate is from the small town and moves back when her parents fall ill and need her help. Dean is in the town for the winter camp and they met and fall in love. Cal (the son) gets a little baby sister.

ok, i kind of live for how the author finished the last 25% with conflict bc it makes you a little pisssed at all the characters and then it feels like they have to make themselves up to the reader as well as eachother. im obsessed with this series.
this book was definitely a little repetitive but i like to think of it as re-enforceing ideas

While I enjoyed the story some of it didn't sit right with me.
Spoiler the way she left her son with a complete stranger only knowing him like a week would never happen and he was way too interested in the child it was nearly creepy
I would still recommend it as a light read

So so cute. Seeing Dean work through his trauma and be there for Kate and Cal was so adorable. Even though it only happened twice, I loved seeing Cals side of things as well.
