This was amazing. From Setne's sub-plot to Sadie's comments trough-out the book. I loved every page of it.

It has been so long since I was in the Kane Chronicles world that I was a little worried going into this companion book. As you all know, I'm obsessed with mythology and wanted to see Riordan's take on this expanded of the mythos so I couldn't pass it up. I was not disappointed, nor was I incredibly confused by the secondary characters that I did not particularly remember. I think this is readable even if you don't remember all of the details from the series, although it will be a little spoiler-y. It's a pretty quick, yet enjoyable read that made me want to re-read the series and experience the Egyptian mythos once more.

Light and funny, some stories were more interesting than the others, I just loved the chapter about Bast and Carter's story about the kandake. It was really nice to immerse myself into this word once again and read more about my favourite characters (Sadie did not disappoint me, though I wish there were more Walt's POV chapters) that explained how his connection to . However, the quizzes that required turning the book upside down over and over again for answers were quite annoying.
