I don't like Lisa Gardner's older books as much as I enjoy her newer books. This one fell flat for me. I did really like the way the killer killed and left clues. I thought that was pretty creative. But Kimberly is by my least favorite of her protagonists and reading a book narrated by her was a struggle. I found it boring and the scenes of them searching dragged on. I thought they'd never stop. This is not one of her better books.

Lisa Gardner is a long time favorite of mine. I listened to the audiobook for The Killing Hour and it was fantastic! The narrator perfectly accented the characters and was able to inject perfect emotion.

Kimberly Quincy is the daughter of famed FBI profiler Pierce Quincy. This is the story of her trip to the FBI Academy. While at the Academy, she finds a body in the woods that leads to her introduction to GBI Agent Mac McCormack. He is in Quantico in pursuit of a serial killer that only kills when it gets hot.

Good story!

So it appears I've skipped from the first in the series straight to number 4. Weirdly, looking back at my review of the first, I remember the story line, but not actually the people investigating the crime and connected to the series, it's probably why I dint put the two book together until I just looked.

This was an interesting story line, maybe a bit on the long side, and although I didn't get the who done it part, it was quite obvious how it would end (don't want to say more and give it away). It was a quick, enjoyable read and maybe the three stars is a bit harsh, it's probably one of this times I could do with a half star.
