Profoundly melancholic capturing "millennial" day-to-day with moments of exaltic clarity and positivity.

An interesting read involving several short stories about women in their 20s.

A couple of lines that I liked, but overall, not my thing.

I won this book in a giveaway. I liked this book. The author has a unique voice and a way of getting at universal truths and experiences. Each short story left me wanting to know more about the characters.

I liked some stories better than others. In some I could see myself and some bored me, but overall I enjoyed this reading

This collection of short stories was exactly what I needed between books, when I needed something relatable, or when I just didn't have the attention span for the classic or 600 page novel I was working on at the time. I'm still pretty new to the short story world but this will go down as a favorite for me. It had similar relationship themes and growing pain feelings in each story. At times it felt almost like a book of poetry as it painted whimsical and sometimes devastating landscapes of each characters individual world. I feel personally attached to Lara Williams now and hope to see more of her work in the book world!
