I really liked this stand-along addition to the Super Powereds series and it's a must read if you've invested in that series. I appreciated getting to know some of the 'super' world outside of the Hero community and I loved Titan.

I loved this trip back into the Super Powereds universe. Owen was a lovely character and I loved seeing his arc. The kids on his PEERS team were so lovable.

What a fun side story in a great universe!
2nd read review: Still so good, I brought my star rating up to 5. So, so good.

Titan is great. I guess I just really love the whole Daniels family at this point.
More spin-offs please!

I ended up reading Corpies after finishing the entire Super Powereds series. I really like this book. I thought it filled in some of the things that the original series missed. One of my biggest criticisms of the original series was the lack of world building. The series really focused on the students and Lander. We had little, to no, outside knowledge of the world of heroes and supers. We would occasionally get snipitts from ex-heroes, but overall, a lot was missing. Corpies fills in a bit of these missing pieces. Corpies is set in the fictional city of Bruster. Here Owen Daniels, an out of retirement Hero, reluctantly teams up with a team of Corpies. Corpies are supers who are not strong or dedicated enough to become heroes. Instead, they are sponsored by corporations to advertise products and act as emergency response teams. It takes him a while to start respecting what Corpies do, as in the Hero world, Corpies are looked down upon. With Owen working in Bruster, we get a chance to see other Hero teams within the city work together and sometimes not get along. When robot swarms start attacking the city, we get to see these teams in action. And sometimes we see the consequences of teams who are too reckless. Overall I really enjoyed what this brought to the series. I loved the expanded lore and the opportunity to get to know more about Owen. He is one of my favorite characters from the series. I hope the author delves more into the world of heroes. If we could see an international perspective, I would love that!
