Funny book at times and a lot of disgraces for pinocchio, kind of reminds me of "Lazarillo de Tormes" but lighter.
I really liked the end and you can see through the book how Pinocchio evolved.
I would not give this book to a little kid tho.

This is the cruelest book I've ever read. The capitalist moralizing and violence against children are so over-the-top that I feel like the former is just a flimsy excuse for the latter. It is more whimsical, imaginative, and brutal than its many adaptations.
