Loved the interview format and some chapters stood out, but it came off as a little disjointed and some plot issues were left too unresolved and open.

This was the best audiobook I have listened to this year. I went in with no expectations and still haven’t been able to stop thinking about it for months.

I think the writing concept was interesting—the author interviewing people from the event. However, this book was not for me. It could be that I read it at the wrong time. I struggled to want to pick it up.

I really liked how this book was written interview style. It felt real. This is a great play on Lord of the Flies and, dare I say, a better version.

This book is not a traditional thriller/horror.  It wasn't super twisty, I didn't feel scared or jumpy reading it.  But this book was incredible!  The audiobook for this was awesome.  The way the book was written and the way the story really pulled me in mentally and emotionally made this an instant 5 stars.

This book was great! I loved the pacing; it is a very quick read. The book, since it is written as each chapter is an interview with a different person you get an unreliable narrator which I really enjoy. I liked seeing the disaster from each person's perspective and how they saw everything. It shows the different narratives and how the "bad guy" of the story is the not the "bad guy" from his view and his followers. There is a nice twist that is not super jarring. I think this book keeps you on your toes enough to keep you invested and has just the right amount of mystery.
