This was not what the description lead me to believe... I know that happens. I had the idea that it was a spooky story but it actually was different reason for ghosts, which I prefer the real reason. Once it was revealed as well as the other characters... well some of them, we get a different idea.

I wasn't sure how I felt about Derek and was leaning towards not liking him but I actually ended the book with wanting so much more for him and I can't get a good feel on Simon. I know he is supposed to be the buy we are rooting for with Chloe but I just have a feeling that he is hiding more then we think Derek is and will not turn out to be the guy we want him to be.

But I guess I will have to read the rest of the series to find out.

Really good. This is a very character driven book, with a touch of action and lots of intrigue. Thus far, there's been no romance, but I'm hopeful for one of the boys in the next book(s). A great YA read.

Dang blasted cliffhanger is making me go straight to the next one which was so not my reading plan for this week tsk tsk :)

Yeah the book was okay plot wise but I didn't enjoy the book as I hoped too. So the two stars are that it kept my interest and was sorta entertaining, although completely obvious. But it lacks in that the only charcator I liked was Derek and that I wasn't the key audience and because of that it affected me enjoying this book as I could have.
Now, my main problem was Chloe, she was too female for me, the way she casually mentioned her period I was like cringing. I am a female myself yes but only in body, I don't have the mind of a female so this was cringeworthy and stick a finger down my throat variety to me.
I think my problem with this was I could not connect. I was the wrong age, the wrong target audience and it put me off. (I love Kelley Armstrong but I like her when she writes closer to my age-The Cainsville series '24' and Masked Truth '17' where I am in the middle at 20. So this one, yeah I didn't enjoy it)
If you're female in mind, body and spirit and a teen then go for it, if not I warn you that it may not be your cup of tea.

Well, there's really no plot. Just a group of kids on the run. I gave it 3 stars, because it managed to keep me reading 3 books about a group of kids doing nothing but running away from big bad corporate.
Also, although I liked Chloè as a person. Her powers made me sympathise more with the people trying to kill her.

The summoning is about a girl name Cloe who can see ghosts and after an incident at school she is moved to Lyle House where kids with menatal probelms go to recover.
I really enjoyed this book, and from the first chapter it captured my attention. The plot was interesting and had a twist that I did not expect. The ending also left me hanging for me.

I would seriously reccomend this book for basicly everybody!
