Claire couldn’t bear another wedding at the singles table so she hires a date. She never expected to connect with Theo, but he comes with a lot of baggage. Will he work on himself to find happiness or keep punishing himself?

Cute! Claire is so sweet and understanding, she really goes through a lot with Theo. I do wish he thought more about how he affects Claire.

We finally get the third book in this series and I just loved Claire and Theo's story! Melanie wrote a heart-warming story with all the ups and downs you would expect for any real relationship, but adding in the sexy details too. The epilogue made me swoon HARD, and was really the perfect ending to their story. I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this title, and would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a little sweet, a little brooding and a lot of sexy mixed in.

"I believed in soul mates, and I wanted my own.
But where the fuck was he, already?"

Claire is such a cutie. I could relate to her a lot. The proposal scene is one of the cutest proposals I've ever read.

I really enjoyed this book, however, I had a couple of issues with the main character. I loved that she was so accepting and caring of everyone around her. However, I had issues with the emotional manipulation that her friends convince her is perfectly alright. She accepts that he's not into relationships and it's only one night. But when he's leaving she gets emotional, yells through the door at him because he left after they had sex, and starts crying. How dare he lead her on like that! WHAT?! He was the most honest one out of the pair of them and he lied about everything including his name. Another example... she tells him she accepts that they're not dating since he doesn't do the whole "dating" thing. But the very same day when her mother assumes they're dating and asks how long they've been dating, instead of clarifying that they're not dating, they're just friends, she responds "only a month." Then gets mad at him because he calls her out on it. I loved the depth of the characters. It's amazing to read characters who can show serious growth throughout the story. I just dislike emotional manipulation.
